We are glad for the opportunity to write about our experience with Smoky Mountain Log Homes. We have experienced building in Florida, and it was not pleasant. We were very guardedly hopeful for what awaited us from 800 miles away. We took the plunge with George and have been thankful ever since. The workmanship is and continues to be celebrated by our friends and guests, most importantly, we love it. George made it all work. It was a low pressure, gentlemen’s handshake that got us through the construction process only to emerge at the other end, able to recommend George and Smoky Mountain Log Homes to anyone who wants to build their dream log cabin.

We've really enjoyed working with the folks at Smoky Mountain Log Homes over the past five years. The best testimonial has to be the fact that during that period they've built four of their beautiful homes on our property, which serve as both a Christian Retreat Center as well as our primary residence. The people who come here marvel at the workmanship and they truly are, in a sense, works of art. We would recommend Smoky Mountain Log Homes to anyone looking for their own special place in the beautiful Smoky Mountains.

Building a home from out of state can be overwhelming...and even a bit scary. But when you're a FL GC and the home designer, finding a contractor you can trust to build a quality product from afar is not easy. However, George exceeded my expectations in the quality of our new home, for his patience with a discriminating customer and for his integrity as a person. George is one of the few builders who would even take on our challenging job...our non-traditional, hybrid timber-frame home designed to capture the mountain view from every room. We will be forever grateful to George who made our dream home a reality...our Windows on Maggie. George, we are glad to have the opportunity to do this for you and to express how grateful we are that you stuck around when things got really tough...you are a man of your word.

When looking for someone to build our log home we wanted someone who had a great reputation, delivering what was promised, and George and his team became the obvious choice. George has since earned that reputation with us. He offered great advice during the building process when choices had to be made and took care of the details that I had overlooked. We continue to receive compliments on our well made home. Thank you George for exceeding our high expectations.
